Changing The Narrative

What is social distancing doing for you? Are you reflecting on the past, foreseeing the future or both? No one saw this coming a year ago, not even 6 months ago. But here we are, pretty much mandated to stay home, monopolized in our thoughts. The one constant thing in our life is change. Think about it, something is always changing. We can‘t avoid it and the more we try to resist it the tougher our life becomes. Some of us are stuck in selfish ways, knowing it’s not right but continue to be that person. Who are we trying to fool? Like really, what’s the benefit? We have to learn to be real with ourselves, not just for the moment but forever. So why try to fool the person we know the best? Ourselves, right?
First question of the day should be “what can I do today?” Each day do something productive, regardless how small. Think back to a time when someone did something kind or treated you in some manner that changed you—pay it forward. We never know when we are going to do something or say something that changes another person’s narrative so that they see wonderful new truths about their lives.
So much time to reflect on yourself and things you can’t do or places you can’t go; but are you missing anyone? Is that someone special really special? Was this person just something do out of convenience or were you too impatient to receive your blessing? Don’t allow anyone to half love you just for the sake of being loved. Feed off the energy, you’ll know if it’s the right vibe. To have someone understand your mind, your energy, your worth is a different kind of intimacy. You deserved and earned it! Are you connecting or reconnecting mentally and spiritually to a higher power? Fear is all around us, but don’t let it defeat us. This too shall pass.
Unfortunately we are in trying and dying times. We have to figure out how to invest our time, money and discover our talent. Also how to trust, love and forgive again. We must learn to change the narrative...it’s our story. After all, we are the authors. Stay Safe ❤️
