I Love You!

What makes it more difficult to say “I Love You” to some people you love as oppose to the other people you love? Could it be the fear of them not saying it back or are you set in a stubborn way thinking they don’t deserve to hear it from you? Sure, we can all show love (yeah I know, they say actions speak louder than words), but it’s something about hearing those three little words that can make your heart feel warm and complete. Just imagine the feeling you get when you’re about to end a phone conversation with your mother or father and she/he says “I Love You” and you easily say “Love you too”. What about the moment you and your BFF hug at the elevator at work and she kisses you on the cheek and says “Love you Girlie” and as you’re walking into the elevator you smile and say “Love you more”? The moment you can look your daughter or son in the eye and say “everything is going to be fine, I‘m here for you, I love you now and always“. That perfect moment you’re sitting at a red light and you receive a text from your significant other “I Love You Babe”. Saying I love you isn’t just for the receiver, it’s for you too. It allows you to open your heart and express your feelings. One of the strongest fears that keeps us from saying what‘s in our heart is the fear of our feelings not being returned. We want them to acknowledge our love. Feel it. Accept it. And if they feel the same, they’ll say it back, right? Unfortunately, not all the time; but don’t allow that to stop you from expressing your love. There will be a time when that person is no longer here for you to have that chance to say it. When you love someone, regardless of who it is, you gotta say it. When saying ‘I love you’, mean it. Don’t just say it because that’s what you think they want to hear. Saying it doesn’t mean it has to be in romantic way. Stop waiting or planning on the right time, it may never come. Just make sure you say it loud enough so they can hear you! Say it with courage! Say it with love! I Love You❤️
