We have to realize how blessed we are. Let’s not take this borrowed life and those who love us for granted. Let’s stop complaining about what we don’t have and appreciate what we do have. Everyone isn’t as fortunate as others, but right now we’re here amongst the living; that’s a blessing in itself. You know, fear can sometimes control your success; especially when you know you can achieve it. Let’s start living fearless, but in ways you know the outcome is going to be at its best.
Sometimes we want what we want, but is what we want always best for us? Know who and what makes you better as a person. Don’t deny yourself of that. Live with a purpose, evolve with clarity, otherwise it’s impossible to progress. For some these can be difficult decisions. What I’ve learned is maybe it’s not about the happy ending, it’s about the story. Your life is your story. Who you choose to be a part of it is your business, but are they worthy? Let’s not be selfish or rapacious because your happiness may not be someone else’s or vice versa. Just pay attention to those that can elevate you but can also keep you grounded. Some people and things aren’t necessary to be in our lives! We have to take that step back and look what lies ahead. Mend relationships and tell your loved ones you love them every chance you get. Please do not allow your ego to get in the way. If you do, that’s all you’re going to have.
There’s two dates that we own, the day we’re born and the day we expire. The most meaningful and powerful dates we don’t own are the ones in between...you know, it’s all in that dash (-). Make your story interesting but with lucidity and direction. They say the biggest mistake we make in life is thinking we have enough time. Remember it’s borrowed time, let’s appreciate it.
Oprah Winfrey said "I believe every single event in life happens in an opportunity to choose love over fear". Is that true? Have we chose love over fear? Michelle Obama said "Your story is what you have, what you will always have. It’s something to own". Steve Harvey said "Let a man see what he can get but make him imagine what he can have". However, some only take what they can get but fear to imagine what they can have. The late but great Muhammad Ali once said “Don’t count the days, make the days count”. Let’s stop procrastinating; your actions are the truest reflection of who you are. Think about it and let that sink in. Michael Jordan said "Never say never, because limits, like fear, is often an illusion".
An amazing response to life...
"It’s the one thing you can control. You are responsible for how people remember you—or don’t. So don’t take it lightly."
-Kobe Bryant (1978-2020)
